Change to opening hours
Due to the increased pressures on General Practice, the Shelford Medical Practice will be closed from 1-2 pm each working day from Tuesday 1st August 2017.
This will allow time for staff to process and action information as well as keep up-to-date with NHS mandatory training.
Between these times prescriptions can be deposited in the external letterbox by the main entrance.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Increased appointment availability now on-line for booking up to 4 weeks in advance.
If you are not yet registered for on-line access, please call in at reception who will be pleased to help you.

Named accountable GP - ask who yours is
All GP practices are now required to allocate a GP to each patient. That GP takes responsibility for the co-ordination of services for that patient. This does not mean that the GP is the only GP or clinician who will provide care to that patient. Patients may continue to see any GP that they wish.
Shelford Medical Practice registers patients with the practice, not with an individual GP. All patients are allocated an accountable "usual" GP on registration. If you would like to know who your allocated GP is, just ask one of our staff when you are next in the practice. Clinicians, receptionists and administrative staff are all able to look and see who your named accountable GP is.
